ChChCh Chaaanges

Change is in the air, in all sorts of ways, yet as a sahm, things still stay the same. Don't get me wrong, I crave the quotidian rituals that keep me in balance, remembering to feed, clean, and clothe myself and others. Without these things, I would surely be at the sewing machine, reading, or crafting about 14 hours out of the day, with a little time out for working out. I constantly have so many projects brewing in my head, with a list of WIPs that only gets longer. I really enjoy making gifts for people, but there is only so much time in the day!

The fall gets me thinking about colors and the interplay of light and dark on those colors. The leaves here are turning a full rich red that is hard to imitate outside of nature. Those little evergreen bushes and trees seem that much brighter with the yellows and oranges flitting to the ground. Color everywhere, and it is fall. A sweet mom had her kids on the sidewalk outside of my house today picking out different colored leaves.

Can you remember when there was no internet? I remember when I got my first internet "account" in college, waiting in line at the library to check it all out while those goofy boys looked at illicit things. I remember not knowing what there was to find out there on teh world wide web. Now, I can find hours pass as I jump from interesting site to blog in amazement of the wonderful creativity of people on the 'net. Thanks for all the inspiration people.

I know what you mean! I'm a sahm of two and find very little time to finish the projects that I start. Right now I have 4 quilts in process, one seashell covered mirror, one shirt, some christmas ornaments, etc. When will I finish everything? I enjoy reading your blog!
