It's a fleece monkey and all of his seams stayed intact for 5 years. Holy cow! Five years! I made 3 others for cousins and I wonder how they are holding up or if they have been relegated to the back of the closet. I think monkey ended up on the floor already. So that was a little aside of things that can be done. and I even did the mending by hand. Have I mentioned that I am an AWFUL hand sewer? I have a nice sashiko kit that I like to work on in the car. Luckily, the stitching lines are printed on the fabric. And that is the only way I can do some nice stitches.
I woke up at the crack of dawn today...for no good reason. Just did. This has been happening with some regularity lately, and I must say I would rather just be sleeping. But I wasn't so I worked on star quilt along week 2. The triangles were a bit more difficult this time, but I'm chalking it up to tired. And the block isn't wonky, just my picture taking abilities. That is next on the 'skills I must acquire' list. I'm perfectly capable of taking photos of people, just not things. Well, happy Tuesday. Hope your place isn't as hot as ours. Even the pool feels like a bathtub already!
